Student Administration Processes and Federation
Description
This is an AACRAO/EDUCAUSE/Internet2 initiative with which ET is heavily involved. This group, led by R.L. Bob Morgan from the University of Washington and Ann West from EDUCASE/Internet2, is looking for various areas in student processes where federated identities would be most useful. Accordingly, this includes working with corporate and area partners in an effort to encourage them to join the InCommon Federation and to demonstrate the value of a federated identity approach to registrars and admissions officers. Partners and areas of interest could include, but are not limited to, enrollment verification, transcripts, and application services. The group's focus is similar to that of the PESC EA2 Task Force; therefore, they would like to pursue common deliverables by working with AACRAO's representative on the Task Force, Nancy Krogh.
